Nejdek

Town is situated in the middle of Ore mountains. Nejdek is border town, at the flow line from Karlovy Vary to Sasko.
Important historical landmarks:
Castle’s Romanian – gothic view tower – it is the most important historical memory. Tower is the reminder from Nejdecky castle, the beginning of the castle is dated in year 1250.
Nejdek`s castle is from 17th century. Castle was almost destroyed by the fair in the year 1857, but the owner Jindrich Kleist rebuild it again. Castle looks like almost the same in the present.
The view tower at Pajndl: The view tower is hight 18m and it is made from stone. Tower has spiral steps made from granite. View tower is open for all year around and the entre is for free.
Evangelic church is situated at the hillock over Bernovsky lake and it is the architect`s domination of the northwest part of Nejdek.

Bikers can use two lines of bus for bikers:
The yellow one from Porolavi to Blatensky prikop: Sokolov - Loket - Chodov - Nová Role - Nejdek - Horní Blatná - Boží Dar (Rýžovna) - Boží Dar
The orange one from Kraslice to Prebuz: Hraničná - Kralice - Bublava - Stříbrná -Přebuz – Nejdek
Buses are scheduled from the 19th of May till 30th of September each Saturday, Sunday and at holidays.
